ASLA Alaska once again participated in the Challenge Grant Workshops in partnership with the Anchorage Park Foundation and Anchorage Parks and Recreation.
This year’s workshops were another success, with participants joining not only from Anchorage, but also from Girdwood, Chugiak, and Eagle River. The photos above are from the in-person session held at the Lidia Selkregg Chalet on March 19 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., which was the second of two meetings. The first meeting was held virtually on March 10 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. via Microsoft Teams.
Challenge Grant award recipients will be announced on May 1, followed by a kickoff event on May 15.
A big thank you to Peter Briggs, Lucy Baranko, Elise Huggins, and Jonny Hayes for volunteering their time and connecting with community members about their ideas. Taylor Keegan also participated, contributing both in her role with Anchorage Parks and Recreation and as an ASLA member.
