Since 2020, Torey Carter-Conneen has served as the CEO of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), representing 16,000 members and advancing the profession across all communities. A visionary leader, he spearheaded the development of ASLA’s "2030 Vision," which focuses the organization on the critical intersection of people and the environment to better address global challenges like climate change and social equity.

 

Carter-Conneen is a passionate advocate who uses major media platforms and international panels to amplify the story of landscape architecture and its benefits to society. His impact is already reflected in the Library of Congress, which now archives all ASLA Professional Award winners. By collaborating closely with members and strategic partners, he ensures the profession’s essential contributions to the environment and public life are recognized and celebrated globally.
